Explore the wild life of Sri Lanka and finally visit the Galle fort as a wonderful historical jewel revealing the influence of Portuguese and Dutch during the 17th century in Sri Lanka.

Day 1: Airport - Colombo

A representative will meet and greet you upon your arrival at the airport and will take you to Colombo for check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will go on a city tour of Colombo, returning to the hotel afterward for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Colombo - Polonnaruwa

After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa. Commence a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa visit the ruins of the audience hall, council chamber, the royal citadel, the Kumara Pokuna (pond) Royal Pavilion, Siva Dewale, the Vatadage relic house, Kiriwehera, Gal Vihare with some of the most impressive sculptures, the reservoirs etc. and return to Giritale. Day 3: Polonnaruwa - Anuradhapura

After breakfast you will leave for Anuradhapura, the first capital of Sri Lanka. Here you will see the remains of the Brazen Palace (which was once nine storeys high) and the Sri Maha Bodhi - a Bo Tree over 2,000 years old, grown from the branch of the very tree beneath which the Buddha attained enlightenment. You will also visit the ruins of the Ruwanweliseya Dagaba, see the 2nd Century BC shrine containing the Buddha’s collarbone relic, the Abhayagiriya Temple and the Jetawanaramaya Dagobas. Afterward, you will view the Kuttam Pokuna or twin ponds and the Samadhi Buddha - statue of the Buddha in a meditative pose, which is being acknowledged worldwide as a masterpiece. overnight stat at Anuradapura

Day 4: Sigiriya - Dambulla - Kandy

After breakfast at a hotel, you will climb up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you will find the remains of the Palace and its environs. En route to Kandy, you will stop by the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple and the Spice Garden in Matale. You will check in at the hotel upon arrival at Kandy. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and watch a Kandyan Cultural Dance performance. overnight stay at Kandy

Day 5: Kandy - Pinnawala - Kandy

You will go on a sightseeing tour after breakfast to explore Kandy and the Upper Lake Drive. 

You will visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. At the end of the day, you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Kandy

Day 6: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy breakfast before leaving for Nuwara Eliya. En route, you will visit a tea factory and tea plantation where you can catch a glimpse of women plucking the tea leaves or ‘Green Gold’. Upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little England’, you will go on a late afternoon tour. overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Yala

This morning, you will depart for Yala after breakfast. In the afternoon, you will go on a trip to the Yala National Park or Bundala Wildlife Park and see a vast array of animals including deer, peacock, elephant, and wild buffalo and catch sight of a leopard or bear if you are lucky enough. At the end of the day, you will check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Yala

Day 8: Yala - Galle - Colombo

After breakfast, you will visit the Galle Dutch Fort before your return to Colombo.
